Haere mai, Welcome
Golden Sands School first opened its doors on 1st February, 2011. The school is purpose built as a contemporary learning environment using flexible spacing and collaborative teaching to deliver high quality programmes. A number of the original buildings have been either extended or remodelled as the school has needed to cater for roll growth.
We currently have seven Learning Communities, each named after New Zealanders who have demonstrated leadership qualities. These are Mahy, Blake, Cooper, Batten, Hillary, Ngata, Rutherford and Sheppard. We are committed to ensuring every student is a valued part of our caring and inclusive learning community.
